Construction
Habib Al Mulla & Company’s construction practice is ‘knowledgeable and experienced’ Legal500 2012
The UAE and Dubai in particular has seen some of the
most innovative and ambitious construction projects in the world
undertaken in the last few years. The phrase "the World’s First” has
become synonymous with engineering and construction projects in the
UAE. The World’s First underwater hotel, the World’s tallest
building??..the World! Our experience in the construction sector and
our knowledge of local and international law leaves us well placed to
advise on all aspects of the construction process including design,
build and operational elements.
Our construction team is an integral part of the
Real Estate department and advises a broad range of clients including
property owners, developers, contractors, investors, and funders. We
act for a diverse range of clients from first time developers to
government and state owned entities. We advise on the risks involved in
construction contracts and seek to minimize our clients’ exposure by
understanding the issues involved and dealing with them in a commercial
manner. We are proud of our ability to advise our clients from the very
first stage of a construction project through to the very end of the
project. Long before breaking ground we offer our clients advice on
project finance, procurement, forms of contract, the professional team
and we lay out a framework for the project in which our client’s
commercial requirements meet those of its funders and partners.
In the modern business world disputes do arise and
our litigation and arbitration teams ensure that our clients have the
best legal protection available. We are market leaders in providing UAE
legal expertise in international arbitration and have expertise in all
forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution. Our litigation team also has
considerable experience in construction litigation.
