| Practice & Experience: |
Faizal has been practicing corporate and commercial law in the UAE for over five years. He is experienced in corporate structuring and restructuring, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, foreign investments, cross-border transactions and franchises, involving some of the world’s biggest multinational corporations.
He has extensive knowledge of the laws and practices governing setting up, operation and management of companies. He often acts as lead external counsel for major international transactions and some of his recent involvements include joint ventures in the realm of defence, oil & gas, transportation and motorsports. He has successfully carried out numerous mergers and acquisitions in the region. He has had vast exposure to various sorts of franchise arrangements including commercial agencies, and labor and employment laws.
Faizal has over seven years’ experience in dispute resolution.
Faizal holds a Bachelor in Law degree from Mahatma Gandhi University, India and is admitted to the Bar Council of Kerala, India (1998).

• Acted as the lead external local counsel for a US corporation in a multibillion dollar joint venture transaction with an Abu Dhabi government entity. The transaction related to the establishment, operation and management of a joint venture company in Abu Dhabi, which intends to provide full logistics maintenance capabilities for the UAE Armed Forces’ fixed and rotary wing aircraft, while developing market opportunities to support the military aviation industry throughout the region.
• Advised a UK corporation in setting up a limited liability company in Abu Dhabi and assisted them in negotiating, drafting and/or reviewing various contracts with Abu Dhabi Motor Sports Management LLC and various subcontractors, related to Formula One Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
• Assisted a Fortune 300 US corporation in negotiating, drafting and/or reviewing a range of contracts with Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (MASDAR) and various subcontractors, in connection with their multi-million transaction for the supply of petrochemicals.
• Assisted a Bahrain bank on its multi-million acquisition of a financial brokerage company in Abu Dhabi.
• Advised one of the UAE’s leading investment companies on its multi-million acquisition of a global hospitality chain’s regional businesses.
• Advised a regional group in its merger with one of Europe’s largest engineering consultancies.
• Advises one of the world’s leading oilfield services provider on their regional labor and employment issues on an ongoing basis.
