Soraya practices in the real estate, construction and arbitration department where she specialises in both local and international arbitration.
Before joining the firm, Soraya practiced in France where she gained extensive experience in advising on all types of civil, commercial and corporate transactions. She has developed solid knowledge and understanding of UAE Laws in commercial and property related matters.
She is skilled in drafting agreements, providing assistance and advice on all contractual issues and has also developed extensive experience in managing Arbitration cases, under leading institutional arbitration rules such as ICC or DIAC, from inception to the issuance of arbitral awards, including drafting terms of reference, submissions, preparing witness evidence and attending hearings.
Soraya holds a Masters Degree in Private International Law and International Trade Law from Assas University, Paris, France and is admitted to the Paris Bar. She is fluent in English, Arabic and French.
